Hi, my name is Kacie! I am a PhD candidate at UCSB.
I am co-advised by Dr. Cherie Briggs and Dr. Andy Macdonald. My dissertation integrates field surveys, molecular diagnostics, remote sensing, and statistical modeling to understand how wildlife and zoonotic diseases respond to anthropogenic change and then translate those insights to test management strategies that prevent biodiversity loss and reduce human disease risk. My work takes place primarily in Madagascar and California. See my research page for more details!
